La Bamba on Bagpipes, Car Fu, Illness and other Holiday Fun

It's Christmas, It's Christmas, It's CHRISTMAS TIIIME! Or is it business time? Flight of the Conchords aside my hodidays have been most interesting. And I finally have time to write about them...

Well, the first holiday that I should write about is my birthday. Not much to say there. I had a huge paper due that day. I got a miserable grade on it, and I put effort into it. I also took a Spanish test that day, fail, literally. The rest wasn't that bad. Got some cool presents such as: The Producers on DVD (yay); an Audrey Hepburn Poster; A candle; some nice soaps and lotions; A Twilight Calendar; An Umbrella; and money! Over all a good haul. I keep thinking I got something else from my parents.... but I can't. It'll come to me eventually. Oh! The Twilight Soundtrack, that's what I got! It's pretty cool, except I got the bella poster.... Go figure.

Then Thanksgiving, my least favorite holiday. I'm picky, sorry, Deal. I don't eat most of what is typically served at the time. Not much happened. Two days later went shopping, got some cute stuff. Got a scarf, sweater dress, beret, and a Doctor Who Magazine.

St. Nick's day was nice. I worked my school's Breakfast with Santa. That wasn't too bad, actually I had fun. I think I got ornaments for St. Nick's day. That's usually the type of thing I get.

Immaculate Conception. I'm only listing this because this year it was more than just a day off. I had to lector that day. Everyone else in my family was either at work or at school so I went by myself. I put my things in my pew and then went back to perform my pre-mass duties. When I get back to my pew (which was pretty empty when I set my stuff down 15 minutes before mass), and my pew is full. There is just enough room for me to sit, and when I get in the pew the old ladies stare at me like I don't belong there. Great. One more reason to love the Catholic Church.

Exams: Not a holiday, but I did very well on them. Just felt like saying that. Wish I knew my Physics Exam grade. One day before exams I watched Beauty and the Beast. It was great! However, I was singing Be Our Guest in my head during exams.

Now for Christmas. I got some good stuff. I got some gloves, another umbrella, A Roman Holiday (DVD), Torchwood Season 2 (I didn't have season 1), Heroes Season 1, 3 pairs of pajamas (incuding a 1 piece jumpsuit), Les Miserables highlights soundtrack (GRR, I'm missing several good songs!), Some ear rings, a Beatles Calendar, 2 itunes giftcards, a 4-G jumpdrive, a sweet pair of socks, Speed Racer video game, and once again money. My brother got Mario Kart Wii and the family got Wii Music. My dad played la bamba on bagpipes... It was very odd. We usually play the handbell game. the only problem is that for that mini game there are only 5 songs, and they all get old. Speed Racer the Video game is pretty cool. you do this thing called Car-Fu and you can beat up other cars and you get bonus points.

The next day I went to a party at M's, she usually throws random parties. The party was boring. Mostly I hung out with Klin, Dni, C, Jonny, and Ncole (whom I usually don't hang out with, but she's actually a really nice person.) We hung out outside 'cause for some random reason it was 60 degrees in December here.

That night I got really sick. I threw up three times the next day. The day after that I went to The Symphony they played the music for the Wizard of Oz while the movie played. That was cool. The day after that. I got sick again. I've been sick every other day until just recently.

So New years resolutions (Yes I'm doing this, yes I have multiple ones). The first is to write more often and write what I feel inspired for. And write here more often. Right now I'm in the middle of a new Seto x Anzu fic. Thus far it's going really well. 3 chapters (well 2 and a prologue) down and I'm still highly inspired. I'm getting the problem tho of havng one too many inspirations. My writing to do list is growing exponentially, at least I'm starting Creative Writing this semester...? This may help relieve my to do list, or it could make it grow more.

The second is to try to run more. I hope I can.

And now for today: Yesterday (wait wait) I bought Torchwood Season 1 and an old Doctor Who Tom Baker Serial (City of Death). I get out the City of Death DVD and 1 disc says disc1 the other says disc 2, the problem? they both have the special features. Neither disc has the episodes. I went back to Barnes and Noble and they're actually really good about the thing and I've got another copy coming in. I'm not mad at Barnes and Noble, this was obviously a DVD manufacturer issue.

That's about it. Until then, I'll try to write.
