Lenten Challenge

Okay, so I don't actually celebrate Christian holidays if I'm not doing so for my parents but heres the deal:

I want to blog more regularly. I want to vlog more regularly. I want to write my stories more regularly. The only way to accomplish this is to make myself do them. The best way for me to do these this is to force myself, what better way than to do so for Lent? You get Sundays off (I'm not taking them off though) and 40 days is plenty of time to create and reinforce new behavior (thanks Intro to Psych!).

The rules which I made myself live to are: text blogs have to be over 200 words; vlogs have to be a minute long; if I miss a day/week I can make it up the next day/week by doing double duty (two seperate videos or two blog posts); it must be the immediately following day/week.

I've added a few more guidelines that aren't strictly rules: Vlogs should be about books/movies/TV and not about personal life/friends unless relevent (my upcoming Twilight video) or my explanation video. Blogs can be anything I want but not hey look I posted a video unless fufilling other requirements as well. I'll  try to have Blogs and Vlogs talk about different things, especially the same day posts. For example: I'm not going to bitch about my technology problems with video making right now as I kind of did that in my video.

So yeah, there it is, gauntlet thrown. I hope it all goes okay.

Stage Fright

SO I have my camera. Now I'm not sure I want to do this whole video blog thing. I know I can do it. I just feel uncertain of myself randomly.

Text provides anonymity that a video blog does not.

Yet, on the other hand, I'm an actress. Performing is nothing. I have a feeling I'll do this anyway. Just needed to write it out.

A Bigger Fish has just appeared in the area

I'm going to start vlogging. Video Blogging for the hermits of the world.

Why? I hear some of you crying. Maybe...

Well, I'm funny when I get angry and when I gush. It shows in my writing, but I'm a better speaker than writer. This is the wise decision.

So, what does this mean for here? I will write either transcriptions or commentaries of the video blogs (like the commentaries for my old fanfic). I'll keep my personal life stuff here primarily. I have a feeling my friends will be more likely to see the videos, not these ramblings. Some of these rants I don't want friends seeing. Simple enough really. And I'll be doing my fanfic updates and reminders through here.
